The congress profile of OTWorld

Prosthetists and orthotists, orthopaedic footwear professionals, medical practitioners and therapists from all over the world shed a light on the most important aspects of current trends and developments as well as the core topics of the congress from an interdisciplinary point of view.
Main elements of the congress are keynote lectures, pre-structured sessions, lecture series made up of free papers and practice-oriented workshops. A diverse program that combines science and research with education and practice, and sets tone for future industry development.The internationality of OTWorld is reflected in the bilingual congress programme: the congress languages are German and English. Simultaneous translations into the other language are provided.
The technical focus of the congress programme is set by the congress presidents, Prof. Dr. Thomas Wirth and Dipl.-Ing. Ingo Pfefferkorn.They are supported by a top-class programme and workshop committee. This committee consists of members of various professional societies as well as other experts from prosthetics & orthotics, orthopaedic footwear technology/pedorthics and medical supply stores as well as from medicine and therapy.

In inspiring individual lectures without a parallel event, visionaries shed light on their particular field of expertise.
SYMPOSIA
In 75 minutes, the focus is on a core topic in orthopaedic treatment and care. The up to 5 coordinated presentations each bring a different perspective to the topic.
FREE SUBMISSIONS
Various contributions to current research content and exciting individual cases are presented here grouped thematically.
WORKSHOPS
Orthopaedic treatment and care means: lending a hand. At the workshops, supply options are discussed directly on the patient. Up close and relevant to practice!
EXHIBITOR WORKSHOPS
Exhibitors will showcase their innovations and products in an exhibitor workshop open to both trade show and world congress attendees.
EPOSTER
Selected poster contributions will be presented at digital poster stations in the middle of the congress, also as a short talk.
CONGRESS TOPICS
The world congress is characterized by a wide range of topics, from prosthetics, orthotics and orthopaedic footwear technology to sports orthopedics/parasports, Ambient Assisted Living for Elderly (AAL) and digitalisation.
